An absolutely fabulous performance in front of 1,189 spectators saw Horley deliver a huge win, finishing 4–2 victors. It was plain sailing early on, as we went into half‑time 1–0 up, before extending the lead to 3–0 as the second half progressed.

Fleet managed two goals in quick succession in the 81st and 86th minutes, pulling it back to 3–2 and making it a nervous time for the travelling supporters.

The referee then somehow signaled 13 minutes of added time! Tension was eased slightly when Fleet were reduced to 10 men in the 93rd minute, and in the 97th minute Lewis Pearch put the game beyond doubt, sealing Horley Town’s promotion.

We would like to thank every single person who has followed the team this season, all of the volunteers who help the club, every player who has pulled on the shirt, and our outstanding manager Tyler Chambers and his team, and our physio Jay.

Next season will be a tough one – it is a big step up – but with our current management team and squad we are hopeful that clear of the bottom four is a real possibility.
